How to order UGC videos without hiring creators

Hiring creators is a job of its own. Here is the shorter route, step by step: a short brief, your product, a script you approve, and a finished video filmed by real actors.

Hiring UGC creators is a job of its own. You write a brief, sort through applicants, negotiate rates, ship product to each person, chase drafts, ask for fixes and sort out usage rights, and then do it again for the next batch. For a brand that just needs good videos of its product, there's a shorter route: order the finished video from a team that films it.

This is how that works at OrderUGC, step by step.

1. Write a short brief

On the order page you tell us what the product is, link to it, say the one thing viewers should remember and who it's for. The other questions take a few seconds each. You don't need an account until you pay.

You also pick a style. UGC style is selfie style, like a real customer talking to their phone about your product. Ad style is presented to camera, like a commercial, and works better when the product needs explaining or for comparisons and demos.

2. Get the product to us

A real person holding your real product is the whole idea, so physical products come to our studio in Simi Valley, California. If you'd rather not ship, paste the product link and we'll buy it for you at cost plus 15%. Software, apps and services don't ship anything: we work from screen recordings and a demo account.

The 7-day delivery clock starts when your product arrives, or when you pay if there's nothing to ship.

3. Approve the script

Our team writes the script from your brief. You read it, ask for changes and approve it, and we don't film until you do. This is the step that replaces back-and-forth with a creator: changing words on a page is free, while changing a filmed video means filming again.

4. We film and edit

One of our actors films the video, holding and using your product, at our studio. They're people we've worked with before, not marketplace creators you'd have to vet. Our in-house editors cut it. You can name up to three actors you'd like at no cost, or book one specific actor for $49 per order.

5. Review and use it

The finished video arrives in your order chat, where a real person on our side reads every message. One round of revisions is included. You can then use the video anywhere online: TikTok, Reels, YouTube, your website, Amazon product pages, CTV and paid ads. Broadcast TV, film and radio need an extended license.

What you skip

What it costs

A 15 second video is $199, 30 seconds is $350 and 60 seconds is $600, with 3% to 10% off when you order several at once. Monthly plans of 4, 8 or 16 videos take 10%, 17.5% or 25% off, and unused plan videos roll over for 90 days. The UGC video service page has every price and extra in one place.

When hiring creators still makes sense

If you want many different faces, creators posting to their own audiences, Spark Ads or partnership ads, or a TikTok Shop affiliate program, a creator marketplace or platform is built for that. We've compared ourselves honestly with two of them: OrderUGC vs JoinBrands and OrderUGC vs Insense.

And if you were thinking of skipping people altogether with an AI avatar, filmed, not generated explains where AI product video still goes wrong.
